11.11.20 – A Remembrance to remember

Poppies

Covid-19 impacted on most events of 2020 and our tribute to those who lost their lives was no different.  Despite guidelines advising that large scale events couldn’t take place, Bluntisham was able to put on a very short and simple remembrance service.

Thanks to those who laid a wreath and respected the social distance rules and thanks to those who kept away.  This recording is for everyone who observed a 2 minutes silence at home and who wanted to be part of the remembrance service.

St Helens year 6 class painted pebbles and laid these earlier in the day.  The Scouts painted milk bottles which were filled with water and glow sticks to mark their respects.  Wreaths, poppies and crosses lay by the war memorial to remember.
